Rowdy Joe’s North Shore Eatery INTERNATIONAL $$

The chef strives for ‘good mood food’ using ingredients from St Croix’s farms and fishers. Dishes might include the Cubano pork sandwich, Thai beef salad with fermented black bean vinaigrette, fish tacos or house-made pasta. Rowdy Joe’s has gained a loyal fan base for its ice cream made on-site, with flavors such as French vanilla praline, or order a margarita made with local fruits.

Eat @ Cane Bay INTERNATIONAL $$

Located across from Cane Bay Beach, the restaurant also cooks burgers that are a cut above the norm. Other delicious items on the menu include slow-roasted pulled pork and brisket, along with wine and Belgian beers. The Sunday reggae brunch features eggs benedict, crepes and bananas Foster pancakes among the lineup.

Off the Wall BURGERS $$

Breezez INTERNATIONAL $$

( 340-773-7077; mains $9-20; lunch & dinner, brunch Sun) Located at Club St Croix, a mile west of Christiansted, Breezez is a popular lunching place for folks spending the day at Hibiscus Beach. The poolside operation serves up burgers and a popular Sunday brunch.
